Maryland Assisted Living Managers are required to take the 80 Hour Managers Certificate Course by August 2009 unless exempt.
Exempt are the following only according to COMAR 10.07.14.15.1A and 1E, which lists the following criteria:
Licensed for four (4) beds or less, . . OR - -

• Temporarily serving as a manager for less than 45 days - - OR
• Licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in Maryland - - OR
• Has been employed as an assisted Living Manager in Maryland for 1 year prior to January 1, 2008. (Note Date Change)

We also have the 20 hour Continuing Education Classes scheduled in 4 hour segments with various topics for you to choose from.

For Insurance Producer License Renewals after October 2009, you will be required to obtain "24 hours" of Continuing Education including 3 hours in Ethics. You may still obtain one half of your hours as self study or on line.

NOTE:This new requirement does not include Title Producers who will continue to need 16 hours.

For Maryland Insurance Producers to renew their licenses, they will need:

• At least 2 continuing education credits at each renewal period for those property and casualty insurance producers who sell flood insurance.
• At least 2 continuing education credits at each renewal period for those Life and Health Producers who sell Long Term Health Care Insurance.

We offer Prelicensing Classes for Property/Casualty Agents, Life/Health Agents, Bail Bondsmen and Title Producers. Our training schedule has been posted through August, 2009. Check under the Classroom courses tab.
